La Bien Aimée Helix
The always lovely Parisian yarn shop La Bien Aimée has just delivered Helix , a blend of Falkland Merino and Gotland Wool. Gotland wool is a light gray yarn with a fluff similar to mohair, but when it is mixed with white merino, the luster increases and the color becomes deeper, creating a unique yarn. I'm here.
La Bien Aimée is always intrigued by its beautiful colors, but when it is expressed on this Helix, it has a different charm, and you will want to pick up and knit any color.
I took two strands of light pink Helix and crocheted a shawl called Cadence by Sylvia McFadden, which is familiar from shawl books. This shawl was designed for this thread when Helix was announced. The repetition of the pattern was also comfortable, and I was able to knit it in no time while realizing the splendor of the yarn. It's light and rustic, but it has just the right amount of softness and an elegant sheen, and I really like it.
I'm so fascinated by this thread that I'm fantasizing about knitting a cardigan next.
