Well, today, I would like to introduce a Bennet shawl that can be "knitted" from No. 23 onwards. Knitted by Mr. Honma, a staff member of the Tokyo store. A shawl with a collar and a beautiful color that catches the eye!
I used La Bien Aimée Corrie Worsted 's Lise, exactly the same as in the magazine. Mr. Honma liked the color of the sample very much, so he chose the same color as it was.
Corrie Worsted was just released last fall. A blend of 75% Falkland Corriedale and 25% Gotland Wool. It is characterized by a very soft finish when wet blocking. It has fluff like mohair, and the color is deep and enchanting.
When such a gorgeous thread arrives at the store...
The price is quite high, but you can't help knitting.
Bennet is easy because it is a cross pattern that can be knitted without using rope knitting needles. The pattern is regular, so you'll get used to it while you're knitting. After knitting the pattern part, pick up the eyes and attach the collar with flechage knitting.
Mr. Homma said that he completed it in about a month and a half while watching dramas and animations.
I was careful not to make my hands too tight so that the characteristic softness of the thread would come out properly after blocking.
It's a little crispy when knitting, but after blocking it's really soft.
It's just the right size to wrap around your body, and it's perfect for cold protection.
Since it has a clear color, he said that he would like to wear it over a simple knit or dress.
By the way, Mr. Homma started knitting in earnest about a year and a half ago! It's finished very nicely.
