This year marks our fourth amirisu Mystery KAL.
amirisu's MKAL is a shawl knit-along. The pattern is released little by little every week, and when you knit it to the end, the shawl is completed. The "mystery" is that you don't know until the end what kind of shawl it will be. Starting from choosing the yarn, you can share the progress of your knitting with participants and have fun with everyone knitting to complete the shawl.
The theme of the 2024 amirisu Mystery KAL is "Water Drop Stories." Each clue includes a short written scene that inspired that section of the shawl.

amirisu Mystery KAL 2024: Water Drop Stories
Pattern distribution
Each new "clue" or portion of the pattern will be added to "My Library" in your amirisu customer account every Friday at 15:00 JST starting September 13th, 2024.
Instead of a printed pattern or email distribution, you will be asked to download the PDF data yourself from your amirisu customer account.
Schedule
The first clue will be distributed on Friday, September 13th at 3:00 PM.
Clues will be distributed once a week, five times in total.
Pattern installments: September 13th, 20th, 27th, October 4th, and 11th.
*You will be notified by email each time the new clue is made available.
Pattern distribution process
If you purchase this product, you will be able to download an information sheet (PDF data) from MY LIBRARY that describes what you need to know to participate in Mystery KAL. It contains basic information, so please check the contents.
About the patterns
Both Japanese and English versions of each clue will be made available.
We have prepared many videos on key knitting techniques so that you can knit with confidence!

To maintain the mystery and avoid spoilers for other participants, we encourage you to use the MKAL image provided in the folder in MY LIBRARY as a cover image for progress photos (you can do this when updating a project page on Ravlery, too). To do this, just upload the official MKAL image as the first photo in your post.
