"Aker" is an old East east anglian word meaning "a rippling water surface." As its name, this lace yarn has a soft, shimmering feel and a light texture.

A blend of 65% baby alpaca and 35% silk, this yarn has the sheen of silk and the soft, fluffy pile of alpaca. These features create a soft, lightweight yarn. It is recommended as a mohair alternative.
