If you're not a fan of mohair but want something with a soft, fluffy texture, try this lace-weight boucle yarn. It's made of 66% alpaca and 34% silk, making it smooth to the touch.
It has a similar knitting texture to mohair, but is less likely to shed. 
The unique colors, which are hand-dyed in small batches in Ireland, are a joy to look at. Even simple stitches, can be turned into a beautiful piece.
