There are only five days left in the year! The amirisu staff have been knitting a lot in 2025. There are still projects in progress, but we would like to introduce some of the finished items!
Aiko and McCann have knitted Miki Teragaki 's Comodo Vest , which has been hugely popular since its release!
Aiko's pattern specified Sport weight, but she knitted it using Undercover Otter/Neon Neppocalypse DK yarn.
Because she used a thicker thread than the specified thread, she used a smaller needle size (US3 instead of the specified US5) to increase the gauge. " It's a little heavy, but it turned out to be a tightly woven, warm vest. The open-front vest is very convenient because you can put it on quickly!"
McCann knitted the smaller size using the Amirisu Sprint Mike's Adventure! ( The needle used is US6.
"Once you get past the neck and shoulder sections, you continue knitting stockinette stitch for a while, so I was able to knit it in my spare time and finished it quickly. At first glance, it's a simple vest, but when you wear it, the width and length are just perfect, and I thought, 'That's just what you'd expect from Miki!'"
Next, she would like to knit a version using solid yarn with buttons in a pop design!
The Comodo Vest has a compact design, so it looks great whether you wear it over a short-sleeved top or a thick knit. Everyone should definitely try knitting one!
