In Korean, Gori means “cable” or “connection.” True to its name, this striking piece features bold horizontal cable panels, creating a garment wearable as a tunic or mini dress. It is stylish yet very warm, making it the perfect companion on cold days. Pair with tights, pants, or a belt to explore different looks.
Sweater is worked from top down. After shaping a round yoke with evenly spaced increases, body and sleeves are separated. Body is then worked in the round in stockinette, while sleeves are set aside. Two-color cable panels are knit flat using a provisional cast-on and 3-needle bind-off, then seamlessly joined to body and sleeves with a crocheted seam. Finally, body hem and both sleeve cuffs are finished in seed stitch. Most importantly, maintaining specified stitch gauge and panel dimensions is essential, as vertical body and sleeve pieces attach to horizontal cable panels using a crocheted seam.
