An open-front poncho that combines tradition and modernity.
This piece has a folklore feel, yet fits into a modern wardrobe.
It is knitted in a vest-like shape with open sides and fastened with buttons on the inside of the armpits. Once you remove the buttons, it becomes like a piece of cloth, so it's nice to wrap it around like a shawl.
Knit two strands of Dry Desert Camel Light Fingering. It has just the right amount of firmness and is soft, so it falls nicely along the shoulder line. The herringbone stitching also comes out beautifully. The earthy colors evoke nomadic lifestyles and travel scenery, making it a special piece in your wardrobe.
Start knitting from the back and knit top down to the hem. Pick up the stitches on the left and right front sections and knit them separately, top down, all the way to the hem. Then, pick up the eyes on the placket and the edging on both sides and look at it.
