Upgrade Your Project Bags - Issue 23
The Field Bag and the following Town Bag once produced by Fringe Supply Co. were epoch-making products in the way that they encouraged more people to carry their knitting projects everywhere, and the bag itself became a part of wardrobe staple. It was sad to see the business closing earlier this year, but the great news is that now you can make your own Field Bag!
The Field Bag pattern has recently been released from an American sewing pattern company, Grainline Studio. While it is a basic level pattern which only take a few hours to make, it gives you complete freedom to customize fabric and strap. You can block-print a fabric to make into your own Field Bag, and even customize the size if you enlarge or shrink the pattern itself.
Perhaps add a finishing touch - I sewed an amirisu tag to my bag, and embellished it with patches I have collected from past travels. I cannot wait to be able to travel again, and collect more patches to decorate my favorite project bag.
