Sweater Club 2020! Episode 4
November 17, 2020
I always want to make patterns rationally, so I decided to continue the elastic knitting on the armholes without having to pick up the sleeves later. Don't you hate picking up your eyes just for a little elastic armhole? However, because of that, the sleeves are a little loose, so I made the ends slippery.
While knitting the back body, I kept thinking about the pattern I should put in, and I came up with the idea that if I increase the number of pieces from the center with a certain rule, I can easily guess the pattern.
Year by year, I find it troublesome to knit something while looking at detailed charts. In the first place, knitting itself is troublesome, but it's a strange story, but patterns with rules are easy! I like that. So, this twisted rubber knit pattern is very easy to put in. No charts.
When I wore the sample size, it was a little big, so I also prepared an XS size.
Today, we have finished calculating the amount of thread, and all that is left to do is create the product page!
In fact, because I had been knitting with roots for two months, it became difficult to raise my left shoulder, and I finally reached 50 shoulders! I thought, but recently the pain has completely subsided, and it turns out that it's just over-knitting.
Ladies and gentlemen, please be careful not to knit too much.
Anyway, above all, the sweater club has been completed safely this year. We are looking forward to your participation.
*Sweater club sales are scheduled for November 20th.
Sweater Club 2020! Episode 3

Introducing the second work today. Ladies and gentlemen, have you seen WALNUT communication ?
As I introduced there, I made a thick type of thread for Trek and plan to sell it in December. I used the new thread quickly to design a vest style. By the way, the name of the thick thread is Hike!
Whether you see people on the street or clothes shops these days, this vest style is very popular. So I thought I'd try making one too.
Some of my students and staff are sensitive to heat, and I think vests are easy-to-use items for those people. After that, it is convenient to do housework. I also love the vest at home, and I really want to make it, but that will be another time.
Like Trek, Hike has a strong twist, so I wanted to add some kind of pattern. I gave it up at about the size of my body.
So I went back to the basics of knitting (it's the same as floating!), and started with knitting on the back body and putting something in the upper part of the front body without deciding on a pattern. It's always pretty hit and miss.
*Sweater club sales are scheduled for November 20th.
Sweater Club 2020! Episode 2

I really want you to wear it in 2 ways because it is labeled as 2 way.
The photo of the first episode is the so-called normal version. The back body comes down straight and the hem has lace.
In this photo, I'm wearing it upside down. The back body is shorter, but the lace at the hem is around the neck, giving it the impression of wearing a shawl.
The lace is fluttering and cute.
Anyway, it's light, thin, and warm, so it's convenient to have one. When I travel, I often bring an ultra down vest with me as insurance, but it's warm enough to replace it! After all, a good thread is different.
And the important point is that the neck is warm. I am sensitive to the cold and have short haircuts, so if my neck is cold, I won't be able to wear it.
The front is open, so if you only care about the arm area, you can wear it in any size without worrying about it.
I'm glad I made a design that can be used with good thread! I immediately wore it on my business trip to Tokyo. It's nice to take off your cardigan when it's hot.
Next time I will introduce the next design.
*Sweater club sales are scheduled for November 20th.
Sweater Club 2020! Episode 1
November 04, 2020
We've done it again this year, Sweater Club!
The sweater club is a product that Tokuko designs two items that she really wants to wear and sells them as a set. For those who have purchased it, we will sell it with a video explaining the points of knitting by the designer, and we will not sell it separately for one year.
I couldn't escape this year, so I made two works! Starting today, I would like to talk about the heart of design in several parts.
Magazines and books have pre-concepts, and I think about colors and shapes based on those concepts. I have to think about it. Maybe that's the hardest thing.
So, this time, I made two works based on the concept of "making something to match the shirt".
First of all, it is a 2way cardigan knitted with Floating.
Floating is a great yarn from A Verb for Keeping Warm. Since it has a light and soft feeling, I thought that cardigans would be good from the first time I touched this thread.
I think I've probably purchased Floating twice since I started handling it, but I can't seem to find a good pattern even after many years! It's a very good thread, but I was very disappointed that I couldn't introduce it to everyone. With that in mind, let's finally make our own. That's why I chose Floating.
The first delusion was a cardigan with a lace pattern on the front. I wanted to make it look like I was wearing a shawl. I thought about how to rationally create the front descent, but the structure was so complicated that I couldn't get a good image of it even if I drew it on paper, so it took me quite a while to get started.
No matter how many lace patterns I wanted to put in the front body, it didn't work out, so I decided to throw away the idea of putting lace in the front body and build a new knit base.
One day, when I was struggling, I came up with the idea of putting a flechage in the center of the back body, referring to a shape that I thought was interesting to knit once, and finally started! have become.
*Sweater club sales are scheduled for November 20th.

It's finally completed, stadium jumper!
There was a shape that I had clearly envisioned, so I reworked it a lot to get closer to it. I had to remove the shoulders and redo the front two times, I didn't like the sleeves so I knitted them twice, and I redid the neckline four times. I don't want to do sweater club for a while!
My goal is to create something neat and easy to wear. I realized what I had dreamed of as an outerwear-like cardigan that I wanted for many years.
With this shape, you should be able to wear it for a long time while changing the inner layer from autumn to winter.
I don't need elaborate patterns. I wanted a regular cardigan.
The fun collar is made by flipping back using the heel theory of socks. It went well for me.
Zippers are the realm of sewing, so I think people who don't like them don't like them, but they look neat, neat! Let's do our best together once.
I'm doing my best to write a pattern now. Sales will start on the 9th.
Please look forward to it!

It's been a while, but I'm still working hard on my Yowza wear.
I thought about various things, but I decided to give priority to what I had in mind, so I decided to make the front a zipper. It's your first time to put on a zipper, isn't it? It's easy to put on, but the problem is matching the length of the front body perfectly! As long as you can clear that, you'll be fine. I'm thinking of specifying the detailed method in the pattern.
It also has slanted pockets. Pocketing isn't that hard. There are of course some setbacks.
I'm currently in trial and error thinking about what to do with the sleeves. The goal is to finish knitting in October.
Everyone asks about the sales time, but the plan is mid-November. Please wait.
That is to say, not only knitting, but also writing patterns and waiting for size development. We still have a long way to go. . .

The second thread is Yowza. I'm happy because it was a thread that I wanted to knit once.
When I tried knitting, I could knit knitting comfortably! So, I decided to use knitted fabric as the main knitting fabric. The colors are beautiful too.
I used to love elaborate knitted fabrics such as lace, braids, and rugged rope knits, but when I knit while looking at a chart, my eyes became tired as soon as I knitted. I feel like I want to enjoy knitting the thread that is aligned.
I often travel on business trips, so it's troublesome to knit while looking at the chart. anyway!
At this stage, the knitted main cardigan with slanted pockets is decided. Sleeves may be elastic knit.
The neck is an image of a stadium jacket, so I'm thinking about how to make that collar.
Actually, this is my third challenge because I can't quite get the gauge I envisioned. The designer re-weaves it over and over again.
I would like to wear half of the front body during my overseas business trip.

Done, made, sweater made.
It was still hot to knit this sweater, but we did it. The relaxed silhouette gives it a contemporary feel.
The cuff pattern is the same as the bodice.
Rubber knitted neckline. It looks like the pattern continues, but you don't have to worry about that. It is OK if each of you picks up roughly.
Look forward to the next drawing. Next is a cardigan. The image is a stadium jacket!

Even when I was on a business trip to Tokyo, I knitted little by little and even got to the sleeves.
I thought it was cute even with short sleeves, but I don't wear short sleeve sweaters, so I rejected it.
My usual method is to turn my shoulders back and pull it off. The reason I rarely design top-downs is because I find it difficult to wear top-downs myself.
I have a thin body, so if it's a top-down style, there are few parts that catch on my body, and the sweater tends to swim over my body. A sweater that moves freely forwards and backwards is hard to wear at this age!
That's why I always try to keep my shoulders free. It's a small thing, but it's a sweater I want to wear every day. Feeling comfortable is very important.
Also, the problem when returning is how to maintain the pattern. This time, the basic pattern is a double rubber stitch, so I decided to turn back while knitting the rubber stitch.
It's okay, everyone can do that much.
My recent trend is to pick up the sleeves from the bodice and turn back to make the sleeves. I don't like it when I use this method with thin, soft threads because it makes the flicker stand out. If you bind it, it will be ragged.
It's a very surprising method for those who have only knitted Japanese general patterns!
But don't worry, as you can see it works fine.
I also thought about the design of the cuffs, and after that I started knitting, knitting, knitting, knitting, knitting, knitting, aiming at the goal. I'm still thinking about the next design.

I always draw a simple drawing first, take a gauge and calculate, and use the memo function of my cell phone or iPad to write a simple memorandum pattern while knitting.
I've wanted to knit a lattice pattern for a long time, so I adopted that pattern this time. I thought about making the front body shorter and knitting the back body longer.
That way fashionable people often put only the front body in pants or skirts. I felt embarrassed and unreasonable about it, so I thought I should just make it that way.
Backtracking is one of my favorite techniques. Thanks to this technique, knitting can be shaped freely while knitting, so I always end up using flechages a lot.
I thought it might be a good idea to knit mohair with a flechage, but I can't imagine knitting it without flechage to lengthen the hem!
I'll keep the rest simple, so please bear with me.
I'm knitting this part between lessons in Tokyo, so I'm going to have to redo it many times. But I know this thread can be untied. So, everyone, please do not worry.
The biggest problem right now is that it's too hot to knit thick mohair. Believing in the forecast that it will be cooler from around this weekend, I decided to knit steadily every day. The next climax is the front body and the back body.

If it can be held safely, it will be the third sweater club this year. Hello, this is Tokuko, a designer.
Every summer, I ask the staff, "Hey, are you going to have a sweater club again this year?" Yes, it seems that I will do it again this year. This is hard, isn't it? It's work, so I'll do it.
Take care of yourself! The first is a sweater knitted with thick mohair, which is very popular in the knitting world. I decided to use KOKON thread. KOKON has solid chic colors, so I think everyone can wear it easily.
Look at magazines, search for sweaters on the web, and go to shops. Try knitting while looking for samples that may be helpful. This time I knitted 3 large swatches and kept thinking about it for 4 days.
It's simple, but you can enjoy the characteristics of the yarn to your heart's content, and you'll want to wear it every day. But that's the hardest part.
Actually, the biggest problem is that the world is still in fashion for drop-shoulder sweaters. It's the one with loose shoulders.
Personally, I was already tired of that shape, and when I wanted to design a different shape, it was a little difficult.
but! Late at night on Sunday, when I was looking at the new arrivals of a certain brand, it suddenly came down.
The point this time is:
・A design that can be enjoyed even with mohair that is difficult to knit!
- Loose set-in sleeves.
・But I make it, so there are backtracking and binding.
Let's go. For the time being, I'm thinking about how I can cover the difference in the gauge between the knitted fabric and the knitted pattern with a design. With thick thread, even one stitch difference can make a big difference, so the difference in gauge is a big problem.
First, let's move our hands.
