Actually, this "Westknits Bestknits Number 1 - Shawls - Japan Edition" has been on sale for pre-orders since about mid-February, but in response to our enormous trust and expectations for Stephen, we have received very few orders. No, I was a little confused. However, the other day, when I sent a news email stating that the Japanese version was ready to be released, I received a wave of orders... oh, maybe they didn't realize it was a Japanese version. Maybe...? The cover and everything else uses the same photos as the original, so it might have been hard to tell it was a Japanese version just by looking at it on Instagram. excuse me. It's the Japanese version. I asked Stephen to make a Japanese version with amirisu.

Stephen West is a popular designer you all know. We have released a lot of colorful shawls and wears with a bold sense of color that you can recognize at a glance as "It's Stephen". Also, the presentation is wonderful, and the background, styling, makeup, and posing of Stephen and the model wearing the work are perfect, and the photo itself seems to be one work while conveying the brilliance of the work. We are not the only ones who have been numbed by that world view. I think Stephen is a designer and an artist.
To celebrate the release of "Westknits Bestknits Number 1 - Shawls - Japan Edition", we will be holding a Stephen West fair at WALNUT Tokyo and WALNUT Kyoto! I will borrow a lot of samples knitted by Stephen fans and display them.

Color artist Stephen's design is all about color matching. At the store, our staff will work with you to discuss color matching. Also, if you have a sample at hand, it's easier to get an image. Please feel free to spread out the samples, get the staff involved, and choose the thread. 
Another thing I would like you to pay attention to is that Stephen's work is surprisingly easy to knit. The keynote is garter knitting, and many of them are made with hanging stitches or simple flechages. In fact, there are many knitters who say, "The first English pattern I knitted was a Stephen West shawl." A reliable Japanese version has also been released, and I would be happy if you could take this opportunity to step into the fascinating world of Stephen West.
