Indigo dyeing hand sewing thread has arrived.
BUAISOU, a Tokushima indigo dyeing group introduced in amirisu No. 13, dyed daruma threads with natural indigo. When it was decided that I would be doing the interview, I was actually excited to buy one and wonder what I would use it for. I thought it would be good for sashiko and mending, but I wanted to make it a little special, so I decided to try it on a white shirt I had.
There are no designs. Feel free. Try stabbing with tadami stitching, or try plant patterns. I thought it might be a good idea to leave the end of the thread hanging, so I'm experimenting with that.
You can sew it in parallel and squeeze it a little to make wrinkles. I'm mixing 1 and 2 strips.

When I talked to BUAISOU about this, it was decided that this set of indigo dyed threads, WALNUT, would also be available. Two colors: deep indigo and refreshing blue. It also comes with a beautiful piece of indigo dye that seems to be sucked into it. What should I use it for?

As you can see from the fact that I embroidered on a white shirt, there is almost no color transfer (I want to say absolutely, but nothing is 100%). This is because alkali is necessary to fix the indigo to the fiber. The blue color on the surface will come off after washing.
Even if you don't have to do elaborate things like embroidery, you can sew a button on a white shirt with this thread and it will look refreshing. . WALNUT has a refreshing white linen fabric.
So, I recommend it. I bought a lot this time, but as you can see from reading the article, it depends on the weather, the season, and BUAISOU's busy schedule. The next arrival is undecided. I'm really looking forward to how handicraft lovers will use it.
