I want to knit a short-sleeved wear soon!

Knitting Management 1
May 15, 2020
I have briefly introduced the path I have followed in my knitting work history at Tokuko, but as the next story, I would like to talk about how I have established knitting as a job, including the know-how.
The Knitting Class Establishment Course was previously sold as a course, but the content has become outdated with the passage of time, so we temporarily stopped selling it. I would like to think about it with everyone.
The first topic I would like to present is what constitutes a fair reward.
It's not just about knitting, but it's very difficult to get what you think you're getting paid for in any craft or arts job.
For example, when it comes to teaching knitting, in Japan, major handicraft stores offer free courses from time to time, and I often hear that if you buy yarn, a pattern will come with it for free, and the course is also free.
Yes, once you buy the thread, everything else is free. When I started this job, I felt very uncomfortable with the gap between a person who makes a living selling patterns on Ravelry and a world that completely ignores this Japanese designer.
Knitting yarn cannot be sold unless the designer thinks about the pattern. In fact, both sides have to get paid properly.
How do you guys price the products you build or the courses you do? What is fair compensation?
I would like to talk about that point first.
The photo is Escher designed for amirisu18m.
In order to accept questions at any time, we will use the Happy Knitting circle (300 yen per month) that we are doing in note from the next time. Feel free to ask me questions by joining us here! Please join us if you want to read more.
what are you knitting now? Woven with the Backyard Chicken Collection
May 14, 2020
It's been a long time since I've been introducing the staff knitting.
Woven, also in Scholl's book. The staff is also knitting for the shawl club, so this is the third one to knit! It's a fun pattern that makes you want to knit three.
Since we use three colors, we have been talking for a long time that the Backyard Chicken Collection three-color set would be perfect, and this time he tried knitting it.
When I started knitting with stainless steel needles, it was too slippery to knit, so I changed to bamboo needles and it was very easy and fun to knit. That's what I'm talking about.
Everyone please try the challenge.

It's funny, isn't it?
GW staying at home,
Exactly what you can do now.
Not only knitting, but also at work and at home, there are such unfinished homework.
Like a small fish bone stuck in my throat,
The more it accumulates, the worse it is for your health.
Some of them are intentionally left out because I don't want them to end, but most of them are thinking, "I have to do it."
I can't move forward until I finish my homework,
I feel like that.
When the movie "Goo-Goo is a cat" was released,
When I looked it up, I was shocked to find out that the zodiac has passed, but I interviewed Ms. Kyoko Koizumi, who plays the leading role.
In a box interview with several companies, "Kyunkyon is the person everyone admires, how to become a wonderful adult"
I think that's what the question was about. then,
"10s, 20s, 30s...
I don't want to go back to the past, and more than that, I'm looking forward to my life from now on."
I was impressed by what he said.
Challenges, roles, and worries that hit each age group...
Don't put it off, don't put it off, face it properly, solve it, get over it.
Only then will life become more enjoyable in old age,
My drawers increase and what I can do spreads.
by the novel coronavirus,
I'm sure many things in the world will change.
Some people have already started new things to prepare for that time, but for me, I'm dying to finish my unfinished homework first.
For example, cleaning the place where I pretended not to see it.
I go around wiping the windows and mirrors.
The room is bright and the morning feels great.
I can't go outside, I can't move, that problem is solved at once.
A neighbor I saw on the street would call out to me, and anyway, I felt refreshed.
I want to be able to wear kimono.
I want to organize a box full of family photos.
I want to write down what I want to do.
I want to finish reading the book I am reading.
I have so many recipes that I want to make...
There seems to be not enough time for GW alone as even small things around us come up more and more!?
Get your homework done and be light.
to make a fresh start.

About needle knitting "online" basic course
April 28, 2020
This is Tokuko. Stick knitting ′′ Online ′′ Basic course for sale last weekend. As usual, I received a lot of questions, so I decided to write another blog.
This time it's about whether learning to draw and calculate will help you knit a sweater that's exactly what you envisioned and the right size for you.
First of all, I would like to talk about myself.
I design a lot of things every year, such as amirisu magazines, publications, sweater clubs, New Year's kits, etc. How do you design?
- Find the source of the atmosphere and image you want to create.
- try to draft
- Taking a gauge and calculating, trial knitting the important part of the design
- I'm going to start the production. However, the gauge is often out of order or it doesn't turn out the way I envisioned it, so if it's a difficult design, I end up knitting two sweaters.
That's the flow. Yes, unfortunately, even if you know how to draw and calculate, if you don't have enough experience to make threads or shapes, you end up knitting two sweaters.
What I'm trying to say is that drafting and calculation are the first steps of design, and unless you learn them and use them to knit many sweaters, you won't be able to master them. That's the reality. Disappointed?
However, everyone is doing various things randomly without understanding the initial stage. In terms of games, it's like going on a journey without even wearing the basic tools.
However, after learning the basics of calculation, when I set out on a journey to knit a sweater, my experience points just build up on top of the foundation, so the more I knit, the more I improve.
Is there a version of that usual way of doing things?
That technique can't be used on the hem.
I agree with the designer about the arm circumference.
You can find learning like this no matter what you knit. Even if you buy a pattern and knit it, your perspective should be completely different from before.
If you know the drawings and calculations, I think you'll be able to knit a sweater exactly the way you envisioned it and in the right size for you in a short amount of time.
This course will teach you how to do that. Think so and participate.
You can ask me questions as much as you want in the 5 lectures. I don't say stingy things like taboo because it has nothing to do with this course. I would like you to take this opportunity to solve that usual mystery and open a new door.
We are waiting for you to join us.

yomirisu online Vol.3 Until the next issue of "yomirisu" is made
April 25, 2020
The special feature of the next issue is "Knit Care".
Tokuko-san and Meri-san asked me about their usual maintenance.
We will introduce how to do laundry, recommended detergents, etc. by shooting at amirisu's office!
All the production staff of "yomisirisu"
I work with magazines and books.
Recently, people are asking people to move away from paper and books, but we still like paper! I love books!
I'm very happy to be serialized on the web and read it widely, but there is a different joy in books.
Even if it takes time and effort, one page at a time, let your thoughts go,
It's already fun to shape it with my work colleagues!
As for how to make it, the first step is planning.
I have something to tell you,
Bookmaking begins.
What message do you want to convey, and what kind of person do you want to read it?
What would you like to read during this time?
It's a great feeling when you stock up on things that you usually think are good in your mind and get stuck in a project!
I'm sure any kind of work would be the same here.
Once the plan is decided, think about how it will develop.
Draw a picture with henna chocolate, put it into words, show a picture...
It is also an important job to tell everyone so that the image can be shared.
Then, according to the plan, we interviewed and photographed,
Create a sentence, design, and the page will be completed.
It's not fun even if it's just the way I imagined it.
The light that came in by chance when shooting...
My heart beats wildly when various powers work together to create something beyond my imagination!
I think that I continue to make books because I want to experience this excitement, this moment.
Well, I'll report back here when "yomirisu" Vol.6 is finished!
The next cover is my favorite sweets,
Oh, I'm looking forward to shooting now!

yomirisu online Vol.2 At times like this, Zazen at home
April 21, 2020
"Zazen" featured in yomirisu vol.5.
Some people may have been hesitant about the special feature, which is unusual for a knitting magazine, but...
When I proposed to Ms. Tokuko and Ms. Meri, they did not flinch and enjoyed the experience.
In Kyoto, there are many places where you can get familiar with zazen, and I started participating in it as if I were doing yoga.
For a while, I let go of my smartphone and watch,
Separate from daily life and spa.
I don't have that kind of time,
Zazen, which can be done anywhere, is perfect.
If you knit all the time, your body will get stiff and you will probably have to concentrate on something,
I hope you all like it
I felt like that, and I wish I could incorporate it into my daily life.
The zazen session at Machiya Otonari in Kyoto, led by Hiroki Haga, head priest of the Myoshinji school of the Rinzai sect of Buddhism and chief priest of Rengeji Temple, who served as a guide, usually starts at 9:00 a.m., and I'll be on the bus. To be honest, there are mornings when I think it's a little troublesome...
When I go there, my mind and body feel refreshed.
While adjusting your breathing, lightly move your body to loosen it,
Sit quietly for a while.
Then, will the distractions be cleared away!?
Schedule, appearance, fatigue, SNS...
It clears my head that I've done a lot of things, and I can see what I really want to do now and what's important.
Zazen can be done by yourself, but in my experience, it's the same as yoga, and it's easier to concentrate if you're guided.
There are things that cannot be conveyed in magazines,
If you come to Kyoto someday, I'd like you to participate in a zazen meeting...
If you think so!
Mr. Kota Kuroki, a photographer of "Machiya Otonari", took a picture and asked me to do zazen at home in response to the recent situation.
Mr. Haga's zazen video has been uploaded!
https://kurokikota.wixsite.com/zazen
It is a video that conveys the atmosphere of the zazen meeting.
Please try it even when you want to change your mood with the feeling of participating there.
If you have a moment in your daily life to adjust your mind, you can be yourself even if something happens. I feel like that.
