Through the Lens - Issue 14

In the fall, I often take to the woods again.  The colors and shadows intensify. The leaves drop from the trees and the forest opens up. I took this photograph on a walk at a nearby national park on a little side trail that isn't visited very often by tourists. The air was noticeably cooler than the day before, as I stood by the creek and watched the light play on the surface of the water. It was a quiet moment, just me and my camera. I began to take photographs to sort out my feelings about the summer that came before and the winter now well on its way.
