We've actually started knit night events in October. It's once a month get-together to chat and knit over coffee. Details and future schedule are below. Come and join us!
Participation fee: 500 yen (for coffee/tea and snacks)
December: 27th, 2pm - 4pm
January: 16th, 4pm - 6pm (a small gathering to celebrate Issue 6 launch)
20th, 6pm - 8pm
I haven't been able to advertise it at all until now, but I've actually been running a knit cafe since October. It's not like I kept it a secret.
No reservation required. It doesn't have to be an English pattern, it doesn't have to be an amirisu pattern. Please come and visit us with what you are knitting now.

I am often asked about the difference between lessons and knit cafes, but knit cafes are just places to knit. It's not a class, so you may or may not be able to ask what you don't understand. Two hours might end with a story about Tokuko's cat. It's a gathering where everyone talks about their favorite movies and just knits while saying "It's cold in Kyoto, isn't it?"
You are also very welcome to bring sweets. Let's have fun together.
