Fantasy Knitting 9: I want to knit Marshal

妄想編み物9: Marshalが編みたい

It's been almost 10 years since I put this pattern in my Ravelry queue. It's from the Brooklyn Tweed collection, released in Fall 2015. It's Marshal , designed by veteran designer Nora Ghosn.

When I think of Nora, I immediately think of designs inspired by plants and geometric shapes, so when I saw this jacket, I was a little surprised. The design uses both Brooklyn Tweed's Loft and Shelter . I think this jacket was probably not inspired by geometric shapes, but was created to make use of the texture of yarns of different thicknesses. The body is knitted with Loft, and the details such as the pockets are knitted with Shelter. It's a cool, masculine design that fits the body well, and I've been wanting to knit it for a long time.

I really liked this military-like atmosphere, but the Fauna color I specified has been discontinued. I wonder what color I would choose if I were to knit it now. Maybe I would choose a sophisticated color like Yellowstone, Birdbook, or Artifact?

I previously interviewed Nora in issue 7 of amirisu. I think it's still interesting to read, so be sure to check it out too.
