We all need the winter to encourage us to go inwards, to slow our movements and rest. I try to listen to my body. On some days, I want to spend as many hours possible reading and writing in front of the wood stove with my cats. On other days, nothing feels as good as a walk through the snow on the trails that surround my house. The days are filled with hot tea, extra layers of clothing, and snowshoe treks. The world becomes quiet with each new snowfall and fresh tire tracks paint the landscape with bold strokes.
