Lori's Notebook - Entrelac Scarf

Lori's Notebook - 白樺編みのマフラー

I have been working on a slow project. I took pictures in summer and then winter, to show my progress. Some things seem shorter and lighter in the summer – the nights, my dress and plaited hair, the beginning of a scarf. In winter, the scarf grew long like the nights, and a cozy long dress, hair down, for maximum warmth.

This is entrelac, knit into a simple scarf with no shaping. A quick search online will describe how to make the triangles which then form the tiers. The end result depends on how long (or short) you’d like your scarf to be...how many seasons before it’s just right for you.

About the yarn and the pattern

The yarn is a craft yarn I bought while traveling and needed something to work on, and could not find a knit shop. It’s acrylic, though actually lovely to work with. I don’t have the label anymore, I’m sorry, but I do remember the colorway name, I bought it for that...it’s called Cobblestone .

The squares have 8 stitches and 14 rows each, knit in a worsted weight yarn.
