For this textured pattern, I expanded the idea from the image of vertical grids—like latticework or shoji screens.

It took time to adjust the pattern so that all sizes could be knitted in the same way, making it less confusing.

Warm caramel for the body and deep charcoal for the cables would be gorgeous.

I already knit another one, in black!

I never really imagined starting a career as a designer.

I focused on making sure that, no matter which size is knitted, the focal point would appear with the same kind of impression.

I think dark combinations such as charcoal gray + navy, or olive green + dark brown would also be easy to wear.

I have already knit another! I knit it in linen yarn with a dark charcoal body and sleeves with a terracotta button band and collar.

The hardest part was finding the perfect overlap for the wrap front.
