Staff Projects: Trill Collar

Staff Projects: La Bien Aimée Alixで編むTrill Collar

There are more and more days when you can go out during the day without wearing a coat.
Our staff Ryoko knitted a Trill Collar , a detachable collar that is perfect for this season.

It's a convenient item that can be used as an accent for your outfit, and gently warms your neck and shoulders when it's a little chilly. I have a feeling it will come in handy.

The yarn used is Alix from La Bien Aimée. It is a mix of Falkland Merino and alpaca, and is a lace yarn that is characterized by its exceptionally soft feel compared to its sister yarns Helix and Felix. This time, she knitted it with two strands in the Sport weight.

The bright, slightly reddish iris color is cool! This beautiful color is unique to La Bien Aimée. The single colors are cute, but there are also exciting multicolored colors such as the Miyazaki collection. There are still a few in stock, so please take a look.

Start knitting from the hem. The hem is doubled and has plump, heavy scallops that drape beautifully.

"It was difficult to pick up the stitches from CO to create the doubled hem," says Ryoko.

There's a lot to do with the lace pattern, ribbing, and i-cord, but other than picking up stitches, there wasn't anything difficult about it and it was fun to knit.

Ryoko knitted the long version. It is the perfect size to leave the I-cord loose and drape over your shoulders. The short version is shorter in length and circumference, and looks cute when wrapped tightly around your neck.

She was concerned that Alix might stretch a bit because of the alpaca in it, so she lowered the needles two sizes only on the BO to make it tighter. The ribbing is nice and not too spread out.
