Even though it's September, the hot days are still continuing in Japan, Kyoto.
I get soaked in sweat just doing a little housework or walking from the station to work, which can be annoying, but there's one good thing about it: We can still wear our summer pullovers! While it's still hot, we'd like to introduce two cool pullovers that our staff knitted at the end of summer.
Akko knitted this with Habu textiles N-98 wide knitted linen . It is a yarn made of linen woven into a flat tape like shoelaces. It was hard to knit because it was difficult to pull, but the knitted fabric turned out to be three-dimensional and stylish. And it is very cool.
It's not too see-through, and the neck and hem are sharply ribbed, giving it a neat yet casual look.
She started knitting it in August and finished it at the beginning of September! She was thinking maybe she'd wear it next year, but she finished it in time. Done!
Aiko knitted her second Look At My Holes (left). This pattern was popular among the amirisu staff last year. The first one was wool and had long sleeves (please see this article ), but this time it's knitted with cotton yarn and has short sleeves, perfect for summer. It looks great on her!
The yarn used is Quince & Co. Whimbrel . Cotton yarn can always be a concern due to its weight, but knitting this pattern with lots of holes solves that problem instantly. And once again, she added some furry material to the hem. She used AVRIL cork chenille. By knitting it in subdued colors, the interesting shape and material draws your eye even more.
The fluffy texture is so cute, so if she knit a third piece, I'm looking forward to making it all fluffy.
