What are you knitting? ~DATHAN knit with La Bien Aimée~
Hello, this is Tokuko.
This spring, I didn't have any work to knit, so I decided to have fun knitting something of my own! So I decided to use the yarn I had on hand, which had been a concern of mine for many years.
Actually, every time Aimée comes to Japan she gives me cute mini skeins as a gift, and I have quite a lot of them, so I was thinking that I could use them to knit clothes.
While searching for patterns, I found a multi-colored striped sweater! I measured out the amount of yarn and it seemed like I had enough, so I decided to give it a try.
The pattern instructed me to follow a set rule for the stripes, but I tried to use the colors evenly and chose them randomly each time to knit the stripes. I had a lot of fun knitting until the end because I had to think about which color to use next.
I kept to the rule of using one, two or three stripes, but I changed the number of rows each time. In other words, there are no rules! But I think it's the thin stripes that make it so cute.
The stripes on the front and back are actually completely different. But it doesn't bother me so it's OK!
I mainly use Merino Super Socks, but sometimes I also use Kumo.
Fine stripes mean there is an endless amount of yarn ends to finish, but when I change to new yarn I always entangle the yarn as I knit, and basically leave it there.
I'm sure you all have leftover yarn lying around, so why not try this project to use of leftover yarn?
I feel like the more colors there are, the better it works.
I'm very happy with the cute spring sweater I made. Thank you Aimée.
