what are you knitting now? 〜Contradiction〜
After knitting Contradiction with the five staff members of the Kyoto store, we became a happy striped corps! It's amirisu-like in that it's not a gentle color, but rather flashy.
Aiko's combination of red and green was Christmas-like, so we started knitting with the goal of wearing them at the company's Christmas party, and everyone was able to make it in time! Knitting is neither a competition nor a job, so you don't have to rush, but if you have friends, you can do your best.
Well, this Contradiction is a design by Alice Caetano that was published in the book " Sublation " that came out last year.
When viewed from the front, the two-color borders are alternating, and the hem lengths on the right and left are off. A one-of-a-kind sweater that you won't find anywhere else!
By the way, when you look at it from behind, it's a normal border like this.
Knitted with DARUMA's Wool Mohair, it is very light and warm.
Colors used are from right
Aiko Scarlet (12), Ice Green (14)
Ayako Taupe Gray (5), Sky Blue (8)
Shino-san Cherry(4), Mint(3)
Akko Navy(10), Taupe Gray(5)
Hasuda Lemon (13), Taupe Gray (5), Kinari (1)
For Aiko, she added glittery, long-pile yarn to the hem to give it a more party feel.
I tried to make Hasuda three colors by adding white. It's a cute design even if you add more and more colors!
The popular Taupe Gray is a lovely charcoal like red bean paste. In addition to this charcoal, darker colors such as navy and blue give the impression that the knitted fabric looks beautiful.
Knit top-down and back-and-forth while doing flechage knitting in the middle. Since the color change comes every 6 to 8 rows, I was able to knit smoothly, saying, "Let's knit another color!" When I sewed the middle part of the front body, I was worried that it might be out of place, but it's okay if I make a few mistakes. Surprisingly no one else has seen it.
If five people are lined up like this, it will have a big impact and it will be interesting, but if you are alone, you can wear it casually and stylishly.
(It's exactly 5 people, so it looks like it could be a super sentai in the knitting world...?)
Well, there are a few points that I would like to make. If you want to knit from now on, please refer to it.
