I regularly take a peek at Ravelry to see what’s new, and the other day I stumbled upon something that made me think, “Wow! What is this adorable thing!?” The pattern is called CITY basket balaclava and is knit with entrelac, not intarsia. And honestly, the colors are just too good!
The designer is Ingunn Birkeland, a Danish artist who has also created sweaters, cardigans, and ponchos using the same motif, but I have to say, the balaclava might just be the cutest of them all.
Sadly, there’s only one project listed on Ravelry, but the designer made three versions herself, so they’re great to reference if you want to try different color combinations.
It looks like a perfect project for using up leftover yarn, so why not give it a go?
