Meri's Fantasy Knitting 11: Pudding is cute!

妄想編み物11: Puddingが可愛い。

Parade has been so popular that it has been out of stock for a long time. I've been knitting swatches again recently, and I realized once again how easy and enjoyable the yarn is to knit with.

One of the reasons for Parade's popularity is that the number of Parade patterns is gradually increasing. I would like to introduce a new, cute design. It is called Pudding and from the Japanese designer, JURI.

By knitting the sleeves as one piece from the top down, you end up with sleeves that resemble set-in sleeves. This is a technique that has been around for a while, but it’s surprisingly not used much in Japan, and I haven’t seen many examples of saddle shoulders either.

The pattern on the body is simple, easy to remember, and adorable. It seems perfect for knitting while out and about in the summer.

When we create new colors, we consider things like whether they’ll match existing colors or if they’d be good for knitting garments, but we might not have imagined them as single-color garments like this. The star-like lace pattern in the golden yellow colorway was cuter than I expected, and it really caught my eye.

If I were to knit the pattern, I’d probably choose the colorway Dublin.

The pattern is available for purchase at JURI's Ravelry store .
