Umibata is a beautiful vest with delicate, lithograph-like stripes.
The stripes spread from the shoulders to the bottom, representing the sea seen in the distance, remembered from afar.
With an open-collar design and a straight silhouette, it has a boyish feel, but knitted with soft Purl Soho Line Weight, it finishes elegantly. It's a marine vest for adult women. Simply layer it over a T-shirt or dress for an impressive outfit.
Knit in the round from the hem. Divide into front and back, work short rows on the back shoulder, and decrease for the V-neck while working short rows on the front. After seaming the shoulders, pick up stitches and knit the collar.
