It is a DARUMA kogin needle.

"Kogin" is a sashiko technique that was born in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture during the Edo period to reinforce and keep warm fabrics. The stitches are counted along the grain of the fabric, so the needle is long enough to allow a long stitch at a time. In addition, the thickness of the needle is also made thicker than the sashiko needle to match the "kogin thread", which is thicker than the sashiko thread.
