This is a pullover with open sleeves that is knitted top down.
Start with the back body and knit down to the armpit, then pick up stitches from the shoulder of the back body and knit down to the armpit. Join the body and knit the hem. Pick up stitches for the sleeves, knit a little in the round, then knit back and forth so that the sleeves are open. Finally, pick up and knit the collar.
