Yonagi is a loose-fitting cardigan knitted from the top down. For the tightly gathered cuffs, we recommend choosing fun, contrasting colors for the check pattern.
This is a carefully crafted piece, with attention to detail, including the scalloped sleeves and the slightly unusual ribbed placket.
First, knit the back piece to the underarm. Then, knit the left and right front pieces, along with the front placket that continues from the neckline, to the underarm. Join the front and back pieces at the underarm and knit to the hem. For the sleeves, pick up stitches from the armhole and knit towards the cuff. Midway, decrease the needle size to create a cable pattern, and fold the cuff to make a scallop.
