Xeni is a romantic shawl featuring delicate lace patterns.
It consists of two beautiful lace patterns, and the gently rippling, rounded hem creates a soft impression.

For those who have followed amirisu since its start, this shawl might bring back fond memories. Back when knitting lace shawls wasn't as common (in our circle), we introduced Kitman's Xeni shawl in the first issue of amirisu mazagine, and many people knitted it.

It is knitted from the bottom up. While the knitting itself is simple, the lace pattern appears intricate, and you progress by repeating it while decreasing stitches. The knitting method is standard, making it suitable for those knitting a lace shawl from a written pattern for the first time. It is a clear and well-designed pattern, so amirisu held many workshops using Xeni as a teaching tool.

We have prepared a kit using the refreshing Parade yarn. The lace pattern shows up beautifully, making it perfect as an accessory to ward off summer air conditioning chill or sun.

Oh, and one more thing: before you start knitting, please be sure to check the very last page of the pattern. It's an older pattern, so the page layout is different from our current ones, and there's an important note at the end.
