Helsinki is a lightweight poncho that will warm your shoulders.
When Tokuko went on a business trip to Helsinki, she wanted a poncho that was light, warm, not bulky, and well-looking enough to wear in a museum, so she designed and knitted it. It was really useful so she wore it during the whole trip. It's proven to be useful for traveling.
This poncho has a simple shape and looks good on anyone. We previously sold some kits with different yarns, but we thought it would be wonderful to knit it in Line Weight, which has a softer texture, so the pattern has recreated for Line Weight.
*Using one strand of Purl Soho Line Weight.
We have created a new pattern using Line Weight. Please note that it is different from the patterns we previously sold using some different yarns.
Knit a poncho from the bottom up. Knit back and forth up to the middle, make it into the loop, and then decrease while knitting up to the neck.
