A feather-light, airy lace top. Inspired by the spray of seawater rising from the surface in a strong wind, the delicate texture of DARUMA Silk Mohair perfectly captures the image. The neckline is exquisitely designed, and the picot lace edging adds to the sophisticated impression.
Rousseau consists of four panels: two for the front and two for the back. Each panel is worked from corner to corner, beginning at the outer edge of the hem and ending at the top of the V-neck/middle of the back neck. The sleeve, V-neck, shoulder and back neck shaping are incorporated into the respective panels. After blocking, edging is worked around each panel before they are crocheted together. Finally, a picot trim is added around the sleeve and V-neck edges. To achieve the correct shape and dimensions, the panels must be blocked aggressively before edging and seaming.
