A cozy cardigan knitted with bulky yarn.
Inspired by Alvar Aalto's Church of the Holy Spirit. The modest pattern created by the front and back stitches exudes the serene beauty of the design.
Tones and I lined up the Tones Light to make it the thickness of bulky yarn.
Knit bottom up. Start knitting one piece, knit it up to the armhole, then divide it into three sections. Shape the shoulders with flechage knitting, and when you have finished knitting the body, sew the shoulders together. For the sleeves, pick up the stitches from the armholes and knit them in a loop. Pick up the stitches of the collar and placket, knit them back and forth, and add the buttons to finish.
