Shalimar Yarns
A new American hand-dyed brand. It has a beautiful luster and the color is even and wonderful.
Fingering weight Breathless is available. Superwashed (preshrunk) merino, a premium yarn blended with cashmere and silk. It has a soft texture when knitted. The 3ply is elastic and can be used for a wide range of items, from small items such as socks and shawls to clothing.
Sincere Sheep
California brand founded in 2003.
Based on wool grown on American farms, all dyed with natural dyes. It's a beautiful dye that doesn't seem to be a natural dye.
Fingering weight TENACIOUS is available. It is durable because it is super washed (shrinkproof). There is also a moderate amount of twist, so the pattern is clear.
Light blue and blue are dyed with indigo, purple gray, logwood, red, cochineal, and lac, while red orange is dyed with madder and Himalayan rhubarb.
