Parana features a split hem, subtle dolman sleeves, and a square neckline accented with cables and texture.
Worked in Hike, the fabric is smooth and bouncy, and textured stitches like the cables and broken rib really pop. This springy yarn also makes for beautifully even stitches in stockinette. Choose from an open neckline like shown in the sample, or high neckline for a less open look.
Parana is worked from the bottom up. The split hem is worked flat before being joined in the round to work the body. At the underarms the front and back are divided and the sleeves are worked flat from the body using increases and short rows. The shoulders and sleeves are seamed together and stitches are picked up around the neckline to work the cabled motif. Finally stitches are picked up at the ends of the sleeves to work the cuffs.
