We are delighted to invite artist Adriana Torres to hold an embroidery workshop! Adriana is a world-renowned embroidery artist from Argentina. Her work combines glamour with simplicity, and her rich, elegant sense of color and the textures created through various techniques are truly captivating.
*Please note that there will be no interpreter (English to Japanese) for the workshop at the Tokyo store.
We kindly ask that only those who are comfortable participating in an English-language workshop sign up.
The Tokyo store will be hosting "The Forest Alphabet" workshop. You will learn unique techniques while having fun embroidering a new alphabet designed by Adriana.
Over the course of five hours, you will use many embroidery stitches—such as Corcha stitch, towel stitch, Quaker stitch, Argentine knot, Argentine square knot, and Argentine picot—to express various aspects of forest animals and plants. This workshop is open to embroidery beginners as well.
The fabric with the printed alphabet design, thread, and needles are included in the participation fee, so please bring your own embroidery hoop and scissors. You will also receive a booklet containing all the stitches covered.
