Fantasy Knitting 3: Alpine Bloom Hat in Spincycle
This time, I will introduce a hat that is perfect for knitting with Spincycle Dyed In The Wool, which has finally arrived after a long time. Dyed In The Wool is made by twisting two single yarns with beautiful transitional colors together to create a wonderful yarn with completely unpredictable color transitions. There are many imitations on the market now, but I remember being really impressed when I first saw this yarn about nine years ago. Although it is a yarn made in a factory, the wonderfulness of hand-spun yarn is still embodied in this yarn.
Although it was originally an expensive yarn (it makes sense, since the hand-dyed wool is spun so that the color transfers), the weak yen has made it even more expensive, which makes us sad, but we still want to knit what we want to knit! I think this hat is perfect because it can be knitted with just one skein of DITW.
The yarn weight to combine with DITW is Sport, so you should definitely use our amirisu Sprint. I think Sprint will match DITW. I'd like to use Devilish Grin, which has a nice red gradation, with the gray or navy blue of Sprint. Ah, my imagination is expanding.
