I want to knit a blanket!

We have several hand-knitted blankets and shawls on our sofa, which we all put on our shoulders and knees to keep us warm during the colder months. I like all of them, but I've always thought it would be nice if there was something big enough to cover my legs when lying down.
Therefore, this year I would like to knit a large blanket using the advent calendar's mini-kase. However, I couldn't seem to finish it with Fingering thread, so I searched for a knitting pattern with DK thread, thinking that it would be better if I took 2 strands and knitted it crunchy.

I still have some stitches in Stephen's pattern...but I really enjoy knitting his designs, so I feel like I'll be able to finish this one without getting bored, and I have this blanket in my room. I'm sure you'll feel happy.

This is a pattern that seems to be able to proceed with a good rhythm with simple lace knitting and stripes. It's fun to think about which colors to knit in which order.
Super Easy Baby Blanket by Purl Soho
If you want to knit while watching TV and chatting during the New Year holidays, this blanket looks good! Sometimes you just need a project where you can just garter at whatever length you want.
Now, which blanket shall we choose? I'm going to get a little more lost while opening the advent calendar every day.
